More of a tearjerker than I expected. Saw it in theatres and it earned the big screen, it's genuinely gorgeous. What gets me is that it doesn't take itself too seriously the way most sci-fi does, but it still lands real emotional weight by the end. Rare combo. Very, very pretty.
